Small but strong 'glocal' Halla University dreams of bringing the world together with Halla Group!
We would like to introduce the future that Halla University aims to create. All members of the university hope that Halla University will become a cradle of dreams and happiness, and the best small but strong university in the world. To this end, we hereby make four promises to you.
First, we will become a totally “student-centered university.” At present, our society demands creative talents, integrated talents, leadership, and specialized talents beyond the standard that merely judges students by their university brand. Therefore, university education should be immediately switched in a direction that enables students to discover their talents and display their originality.
Philosophy of Halla university is based on benignancy, righte ousness, decorum and wisdom. Such well-rounded educatio n can help students to build their character up, lead industrial high tech society in the future world and be brought up as s cientific high quality human resources. Moreover, we will do our best to contribute to community and nation like this and be known all over the world as a brand name college.
Third, we will become a “university that cultivates Halla People, a university where everyone is happy and lives happily forever.” People with dreams are happy. Our founder, Jung In-young, had many dreams throughout his lifetime, and he was happy to devote his passion, health and life to realizing his dreams. Halla University strives to help students, employees, and professors to find and develop their dreams and enhance their capabilities to help them realize their dreams.
Fourth, we will be a university that realizes the values of “communication, consideration, creative challenges, and the development of excellent capabilities” based on ethical management. Strong ethics are the foundation of the spirit of the founder and Halla Group, as well as the basic spirit that Halla University should follow. Moreover, ethical management and the three above-mentioned values will be our core enduring values in the ever-changing future society.
Our four promises reflect the history of Halla University. The educational aim of our founder and late honorary president Jung In-young was to nurture top-level human resources in order to enhance national competitiveness, and this has become a key driving force in facing the rapid changes of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
All the members of Halla University hope that our university will develop into a home of dreams and happiness, and become a small but strong university in the world, together with Halla Group.
