Residence-related Information

Area Description
Alien Registration When an international student first enters South Korea, the student shall apply to the immigration office within 30 days for their Alien Registration Card (ARC).
(Required documents: Integrated application form, one photo, certificate of enrollment, passport, proof of residence, fee of KRW 30,000)
Extension of Stay - The period of stay will be 3 to 6 months, and must be extended every year.
- The visa for the Korean language course will last for up to two years, and must be extended every 6 months. (Required documents: Integrated application form, passport, ARC, training plan, certificate of enrollment, certificate of attendance, certificate of payment of educational expenses, proof of residence, fee of KRW 60,000)
Change of Residence Status Switch from D-4 to D-2 visa
(Required documents: Integrated application form, passport, ARC, balance certificate, notice of acceptance, certificate of tuition payment, certificate of highest level of education, proof of residence, fee of KRW 100,000, registration certificate reissue fee of KRW 30,000)
Application for Part-time Work Permit International students who wish to work part-time after 6 months of entry into the country
(Required documents: Hi Korea application form, employment contract, business registration certificate, letter of recommendation, TOPIK score report)
Re-issuance of ARC Upon loss of an ARC
(Required documents: Integrated application form, photo, passport, proof of residence, statement of reason for loss)
Insurance - Insurance is required during the registration period for regular Korean language courses.
- After admission, visit the center and sign up for insurance as guided by the university.
